アメリカドルでドル建てのTC購入について教えてください。

アメリカの銀行のオンラインでドル建てのTCの購入を考えています(口座は持っています)。手数料は2%かかりますが、$1000以上の購入の場合送料はかかりません。$1200分必要なので1200を入力しcalculateボタンを押したところtotalが$1250になりました。なぜ$1250になるのでしょうか？ドルでドル建てのTCを購入する場合、単純に額面通りの$1200に2%の手数料のみではないのでしょうか(合計が$1224ということです)？

お恥ずかしいですがレート等に疎いため、常識はずれな質問かもしれませんが…
お教え頂ければ幸いです。どうぞ宜しくお願い致します。

為替手数料と発行手数料がそれぞれかかるのでは？

もう一度手数料について確認してみてください

There is no fee for ordering foreign currency online, but the bank receives compensation from the purchase and sale of foreign currency banknotes in the form of a spread between the "buy" price and the "sell" price of the foreign currency. In addition there is a 2% service charge on all American Express? Travelers Cheques. If you have an Advantage? or FirstChoice GoldTM account, the service charge for travelers cheques is waived. Additionally, there is a delivery fee of $7.50 on all orders that are less than $1,000. On orders for more than $1,000 the delivery fee is waived.

仰って頂きましたようにもう一度確認してみました。英語も苦手ですので、勝手に間違った解釈をしているようです。補足させて頂きましたが、「the bank receives compensation from the purchase and sale of foreign currency banknotes in the form of a spread between the "buy" price and the "sell" price of the foreign currency. 」これが為替手数料にあたるのでしょうか。
foreign currencyをドルでドル建てを購入するので関係ない、ととばしてしまってたのですが、現金でTCを購入＝為替という解釈で宜しいのでしょうか…また的外れな解釈でしたらすみません。

もう少し常識を勉強するべきですね…。
