なんでHow much???

Callan Methodの文からです。
How much is three times thirteen? Three times thirteen is thirty-nine.
数を聞くとしても　量　をきいているのですか？
How many numbers of three times thirteen is? の様な気がします。
なぜHow muchなのですか？　How much salt ~? How much water ~?なので、数字をきくならHow manyだと思っています。教えてください。

How much is used with uncountable nouns.

HOW MUCH + UNCOUNTABLE NOUN

How much time do we have to finish the test?

How much money did you spend?

How much sugar would you like in your coffee?

How much paper will I need?

How much milk is in the fridge?

How much traffic was there on the way to work?

If the verb To Be is used with an uncountable noun, it is in singular form (= IS or WAS etc.)

Thanks a lot. I've just enjoyed the video you put.
I was able to make sure its usage. I wanted to know if the number is a quantity(uncountable) or numbers (countable).

量を聞いている訳ではないけど単位の付かない数字は抽象概念としての数字で数えられないからでしょう。

その辺日本語とは感覚が違うのですが、お金いくら持ってるかとかこれいくらってHow muchを使いますね。
お金なんだから数えられるでしょというのと同じです。でもお金というだけでは抽象概念です。
13の3倍というのも抽象概念で具体的な物が目の前に並んでいるのではないという感覚なんだろうと思います。
これに単位が付くと具体的に13個並んでいるイメージが湧くしお金ではなく○ドルと言えば具体化してきます。

many は数（数字ではない）の多いことを表し、much は程度の多い（大きい）ことを指します。

なので、１３の３倍は幾らになりますかと聞くときは how much です。モノを買うときに金額を尋ねるのは how much でしょ。how many と言っちゃうと、何個買えるのかと誤解されます。
