どんな楽しいことでも、熱中したあとには厭きてしまうものだ、と思っている人は多いと思う。しかし、厭きる原因は、本当の楽しさではなかったから、ということに気づいているだろうか?
の訳です。
It seems that there are a large number of people who think that however funny the thing is, they usually get tired of it after their enthusiasm. However, have you noticed that the reason they lose their enthusiasm is that it was not truly enjoyable?

funny はここでは変です。fun と言うべきです。その理由については、辞書やネット上の解説を読んで確かめてください。

the thing ではなくて、その thing が初めて出てくるのなら、the thing ではなくて a thing または something とします。

この文脈では、おそらく after their enthusiasm は変だと思います。こういうときには、そんな言い方をしないで「しばらくしたら、亜紀てしまうものだ」と言えばいいのではないでしょうか？たとえば、they end up getting tired of it some time later とかいうふうにです。

they とか people を使ってもいいですが、you を使うとすっきりし、わかりやすくなると思いませんか？

改訂案（もしも大々的に変えてもいいなら、僕なら次のように書きます）：
It seems to me that many people believe that whatever fun you may have, you end up getting tired of it.

あるいはいっそのこと
Many of you probably believe that even the greatest fun ends up making you tired of it.

同じことを言っていながらも、できる限り短い英文を書くように工夫しております。

の訳です。

However, を冒頭に持ってくるのは、日本人に多いパターンです。それは正しい英文ではありますが、「しかし、」ときたら、日本人は必ず However, と書くのです。そうしなくても、
Have you noticed, however, that...
Have you, however, noticed that...
Have you noticed that, however, the reason...
と書いた方がスマートというか、耳にも目にも優しいと思います。スムーズな感じがします。However, でも間違いではありませんが、日本人の英語では冒頭の However, が多すぎるのです。

なお、冒頭に But や And や So などの接続詞を持ってきてはいけないという教師が日本人にも英語ネイティブにも、昔から多いので、それを真っ正直に信じ込んでいる人がたくさんいますし、ご丁寧にもそのように本の中で書いている人もいます。それが大間違いであることについては、あちこちに書いてありますが、たとえば次のようなサイトに書いてあります。もちろん、権威あるあちこちの英語ネイティブの書いた本にも書いてあります。（そういう権威ある有名な本を、少なくtも３冊、僕は手元に持っています。）

あなたの書いている英文は、悪くないと思います。

私なりの改訂案：
But are you aware that you get tired of it precisely because you actually didn't truly enjoy it after all?
