高さ６０フィートの水道塔があります。この水道塔に厚さ０．１６ｃｍのペンキを塗ろうと思います。全部でペンキはどれだけ必要でしょう。上の球（完璧な球ではない）の部分は、7219立方フィートより少し多めの水が入っています。上の底部分は地面から60フィー高い所にあり上の球を支える円柱形の柱の直径の長さは、、球の半径の3分の1である。円柱形の柱の底は、円錐台形で広い方の直径は、上の球の半径と同じであって高さは、15フィートです。また、上の球と円柱の柱の接続部分も円錐台形だが土台とは違って下に行くにつれ狭くなっている。この円錐台形の広い方の直径は、上の球の半径の3分の2であって10フィート高い。

1.The city clerk provided sketchy details,but has provided the followimg information to bidders: The spherical top holds a little over 54,000 gallon of water. the base of the top is 60 feet above the ground.The diameter of the supporting column is one-third the radius of the sphere.The base of the supporting columnflares out like a cone so that the diameter of the bottom is equal to the radius of the sphere; this bottom section is 15 feet tall.Likewise, the connection between the support and the sphere flares our to a diameter equal to two thirds the radius of the sphere and is 10 feet tall.
2.The paint must be applied to an average thickness of 0.16cm over the entire structure.You must calculate how much paint will be needed to paint the tower bases on the details above.You also know that paint will cost $47 a gallon wholesale when ordered in quqntities of more than 20 gallons.
3.Make your best bid.But, if you calculate incorrectly,and I have to order more paint for you,it will cost $58 a gallon.Because citypaints its tower with custom color paint,extra paint cannot be returned.Assume you own all necessary equipment for this project,so you will have no other expenses.

英語からの翻訳なのかわかりませんが、理解しにくいところがあります。

疑問点
１）高さ６０フィートの水道塔なのに、上の底部分は地面から６０フィート高い所にある
２）問題文には、「円柱形の柱の底は、円錐台形で広い方の直径は、上の球の半径と同じであって高さは、15フィートです。」
と書いてあるが、まとめには「上部と中間部との境目：上に広がる円錐台形　１０フィート」とある。
３）土台の「１０フィート高い」は「10フィートの高さ」という英文ではないのか？

もう一度、問題を正確に記述してください。
原文そのままでもよいかと思います。
