Advice on Japan trip?

My familiy and I are going to Japan for a weeks and we laid out a rough plan of where we want to go:

2 days Tokyo
2 days Kyoto
3 days Hirosima

Does anyone have any other recommendations or better suggestions as to what we should visit?

There are many places where Kyoto goes sightseeing.

2 days Tokyo
3~4 days Kyoto
1~2 days Hirosima

I recommend you to visit Kyoto and look around famous temples and typical japanese cultural places.

But staying in Japan one week is very short, so how about the rest of the days visiting Nagasaki and Goto-retto.

3 days for Hiroshima is a bit too long unless you have specific places you want to go in there.

You should spend your time in other places like Osaka or Nara before you go to Hiroshima.
