ドロドロの人間関係や恨み、ある主婦の“純愛”の物語。

　幸せな家庭を築いている結婚９年目の看護師の主婦・美智子が、患者としてやってきた品川との運命的な出会いから心が揺れ始める。「不倫」だの「浮気」だの、そんなものは特別な人がするもの、自分とは違う人種の人がするものと思っていた美智子。最初は憧れのような気持ちだったのが、次第に抜き差しならない恋愛関係となっていく。「まさか自分が！」何度もそう思いながら…。そして、美智子は再び自分の中の"女"を取り戻していく。

　看護師として働く美智子は、結婚して10年。かわいい子供にも恵まれ、優しい夫・アキラの理解と協力で仕事も家庭も順調。結婚当初のようなトキメキはなくても平和で安定した結婚生活に満足していた。そんなある日、美智子は患者としてやってきた品川という男性と出会うのであった。

　品川のことが少しずつ気になり出す美智子。しかし、その後、品川からの連絡はなかった。どうしても気になってしまい電話をかけ、今夜会うことになった。そしてその晩二人は会い、距離が近づいたその瞬間、夫、アキラからの電話が鳴る。電話に出た美智子は「友達と会っているから帰りは遅くなる」と嘘をついてしまったのだ

　ある日、浮気をしているのでは？と疑う夫,アキラを何とかごまかした美智子は、いつしか、恋をしている自分がママではなく、女でいられることを嬉しく思うようになっていた。バレンタインが近づき同僚の女性たちが騒がしくなる中、当然、当日は家族で過ごすと思っていた美智子。しかし、いざ当日になると、夫、アキラは仕事で遅くなり、娘は実家へ行ってしまうことに…。ひとりきりになった美智子は早速、品川の携帯へメールを送る。

　それぞれの家族が一緒にバレンタインを過ごす中、品川と手をつないで歩く美智子。ふたりの距離は次第に近づいていくのであった。

このように妻は夫を裏切り、夫が不在の時は女になり、夫がいる時には妻となるのである。
