・この映画の最初の１時間はつまらないけど、全体としては面白かったよ。
・長い会議は進捗がほとんどなかったが、終わりの３０分で良案が出て解決した。

というような、「最初の１時間」「終わりの３０分」のような表現を英語でするには、どうすれば良いでしょうか？

「最初の１時間」

the first one hour from the beginning

The movie was enjoyable overall, though the first one hour was dull (あるいはboring).

「終わりの３０分」

the last 30 minutes to the end

There was no progress made so much, but in the last 30 minutes good idea came out and resolved the problem.

the first one hourでもthe last 30 minutesだけでも十分な場合がほとんどと思います。
