⚠️英語　“most” の使い方についてです。

《私が最も失望したのは、私たちが月末までにアパートを引っ越さなければならなかったことだ。》

を正しく英訳すると、

《What disappointed me MOST was that we had to move out of the apartment by the end of the month.》

になりますが、私は、最初は、

《What MOST disappointed me was that we had to move out of the apartment by the end of the month.》

になると思いました。（MOSTの位置が誤り。）
なぜ、後者はダメなのでしょうか？よく、the most interesting 〜 など、MOST + 形容詞+ 〜　で使っている場面を見かけるような気がします。

これがすでに説明されたり、覚えなさいと模範例を教えてくれた直後の練習問題なら分かりますけど、これを日本人学生に試すのだとしたら、そんなことをするほうが細かすぎるように思います。

が、

辞書の例文を見渡すところ、most は動詞を修飾するときは後づけに、形容詞を修飾するときは前置するのが正統と思われている副詞なんですね。
