speak,tell,talkの3つの違いは分かります。でもこの3つとsayの違いがよく分からないので教えてください！m(_ _)m

英語のUsageに次のようにあります。

1．speakとsayの違い。
・You do not use 'speak’ to report what someone says. You do not say, for example, "He spoke that the doctor had arrived." You say "He said that the doctor had arrived."
つまり誰かが何かを話したことを報告する時にはspeakではなくsayを使う。

2．tellとsayの違い。
・If you are mentioning the hearer as well as the speaker, you usually use tell, rather than’say'. For example, instead of saying "I said to him that his mother had arrived", you say "I told him that his mother had arrived."
つまり話し手だけでなく聞き手にも言及する場合は、sayではなくtellを使う。

3．talk とsayの違い。
・You do not use say to mention what someone is discussing. You do not say, for example, ”He said about the customs of the Incas". You say "He talked about the customs of the Incas".
つまり誰かが話している内容に言及する場合は、sayではなくtalkを使う。

意味のニュアンスで区別するのではなく、

文型で区別した方がよいですよ。

He told me that SV.
He said goodbye to me.
He spoke / talked to me.

のように、意味よりも使い方で覚えた方がよいです。
SVのうしろの形が異なります。上記の例では動詞の交換は不可です。

もう少し説明すると、sayはセリフそのものを目的語にできるのが
他の「言う」シリーズの単語とは異なります。
チャゲアスのSAY YES という曲がありました。
これ、TALK, SPEAK, TELLでは置き換えられません。
