「目の前が真っ暗になった」を英語でどういいますか？

I got into blackness.
何か違うような気がするのですが、どう言えばいいのでしょうか？

の原文を生かすなら，blackout という専用の単語があります。動詞は fall into でもいいかもしれません。しかし，これは生理的に視覚障害が生じたという意味になりますから，比喩的に「希望を失った」とはならないでしょう。

「最後の（たったひとつの）希望すら失った」なら，I've lost my last hope.　とぼくならいいます。

こんにちは、

The light go out of one's eyes

という、「目の前が暗くなった」じゃなくて、「目から光が消えた。」という表現なら見かけますね。　イデオムとして辞書に載っていない表現なので、２つほど実際に本で読んだ事を、補足しておきますね。
