これの訳し方が分かりません・・

This reminds us that it is not the matter of a play and the experiences it deals with that make it a comedy or tragedy,but theperspective it sets up.

文章の構造が分かるように（出来れば直訳で）訳していただけるとありがたいです。

文の構造としては、... not ... but ... の構造です。

it is not the matter [of a play and the experiences it deals with that make it a comedy or tragedy,] but the　perspective [it sets up] とすれば、

　it is not the matter but the perspective

というのが骨組みです。後は枝葉を付けて訳していけばいいだけです。
