日本語では否定するような言い方の英訳

例えば次のような表現はどのように英訳しますか？

【例】駅に着いたが、列車は既に出発してしまった後ではないか！

（状況としては「駅に着いたとき、列車は既に出発してしまった後でした」）

などと言えます。

「駅に着いたが、列車は既に出発してしまった後ではないか！」

... wouldn't you know を使うことがあります。例えば

I got to the station, but wouldn't you know that the train had left already.

あるいは、少し希な言い方ですが、... damned if もあります。

When I arrived at the station, damned if the train hadn't left already.

最後に、... I was annoyed to find ...：

When I arrived at the station, I was annoyed to find that the train had left already.

尚、annoyed の代わりに pissed でも OK ですが、後者が下品と考える人もいるので、相手が親しくない人だったらやめた方が良いでしょう。
