英語の授業中に 間違いがある文章を正しく直す、というものが出ました。

どこが間違いなのか また その理由を教えていただけると助かります。

1. Either the chiefs or the managers have to attend the meeting.
2. The equipments needed repair since it had been used for a long time.
3. I would very much appreciate for receiving a gift.
4. Her health advisor recommended that she saw a doctor as soon as possible.
5. she has books three time as many as I.
6. A number of oil leaking from wrecked ship, and its sure to cause a number of damage to the ocean.
7. The manager didn't inform immediate superior to the defects.
8. I'm sure of you passing the exam.
9. The runner who led the race collapsed just after the goal-in.
10. I haven't seen little of her recently.


以下が 私が 間違いだと思って直した部分です。

1.問題文がそもそも正しいと思うのですが。have to →had to ですか？

6.A number of → 可算に使えない？
7. わかりません。
8. I'm sure of you → I'm sure S V.
9.わかりません
10. Little of herがおかしいと思います。けど 何が適切な表現なのか わかりません。

Either a chief or a manager must attend the meeting.
この文では職群や職位は一般名詞で、the で限定する必要はありません。可算名詞の単複に動詞をあわせます。単複どちらがいいかは、先生のいうとおりとします。have to は法規としての上からのルールの伝達につかい、原文がむしろ会議の主催者による要求の意味っぽいから must でいい。

The equipment needed repair since it had been used for a long time.
equipment が単数形のみをとる集合名詞。

I would very much appreciate your receiving a gift.
I would very much appreciate it if you could receive the gift.
動名詞のまえに、話し手が appreciate する行為の主体（you）をあらわす限定詞を所有格（your）で入れます。If 節なら you could + 動詞にして、その前に目的語（it）が必要。話し手（I）と聞き手（you）の関係から、gift の冠詞が a のままでいい理由を考えるよりも、the で特定できると考えたほうがいいと思います。

Her health advisor recommended that she should see a doctor as soon as possible.
接続法のルールで that 節の動詞は原形。
接続法、仮定法を無視するなら、should + 動詞 で正解にしてもらう。

She has twice more books than I do.
この語順（three times as many + 名詞）（twice more + 名詞）は覚えてください。three times で3倍、一方、2倍多ければ結果的に3倍、という計算をしています。接続詞 as、than のあとは節で S + V。

There’s a lot of oil leaking from the wrecked ship, and it’s sure to cause major/irreversible damage to the ocean.
接続詞 and でつながる節のそれぞれが S + V で完結（There is = There’s と it is = it’s）。文中、wrecked ship には限定詞 the が必要。oil 、 damage ともに不加算で修飾には a lot of。または damage の修飾に、自然破壊の意味にあうもの（major、irreversible など）を選んでもいいと思います。

欠陥が生じた事実を知らせるなら of、欠陥についての説明や詳細なら about。直属上長なので、主体との関係を所有格の限定詞（his または her）であらわす。

文章を that 節でおきかえるか、原文の構造でpassing を 所有格 yourで限定する（話し手が sure なのは pass する you ではなく you の pass、と考えるのが教科書どおりのお答えになると思います）。

問題3. で、動名詞のまえに所有格をつかうことにしましたから、8. は原文のままでもいい、ということにはできません。この原文が正しいなら、問題3. は
I would very much appreciate you receiving a gift. にできます。

The runner who led the race collapsed just after the finish line.
文末の after the のあとを goal、finish、finish line で置き換えます。ここでは goal、finish は目標や概念ではなく、the finish line を越えた状況という意味です。

10.
I have seen little of her recently.
すこしの強調が副詞の little の意味ですから、肯定文にします。

1. Have to ではなく、Mustであるべきだと思います。

2. The equipment は複数形はないです。Sinceの後でもItと書かれてますね。
3. あなたので正解です。
4. その通り、Recommendのあとは、原形ですね。
5. She has three times as many books as I do.
6. oil leaking は不可算名詞なのでa number of は使えないが、Damageは可算名詞なので、Damagesになる。それとits sure でななく、it's sure
7. The manager didn't inform his (またはher) immediate supervisor (superiorではなく）of (toではなく）the defects.
8. your passing the exam にすべきだと思います。
9. just after the finish line.
10. little of her ですでに否定の意味があるので、I have seen little of her recently.

1は文法的には間違っていないと思います。

ただ、実際に使われる文章として考えるなら
chiefs → chief
manager → manager
でないと、誰の出席が求められているのか具体的な意味がイメージしにくい感じはします。

equipment は不可算名詞なので、複数形にはしません。

leaking や damage に使うなら a lot of 等にすべきです。
