①の～ a close friend who you knew ～と、②の～Fat Tuesday, which this year falls～のwhoとwhichの文法について質問です。
このwhoとwhichはどちらも関係代名詞のように思えるのですが、whoとwhich以下の文が完全な文で先行詞に該当する主語や目的語が欠落していないです。
なので、このwhoとwhichは関係代名詞ではなく、that節の同格表現と同じ用法なのかとも思えてきます。
どのように解釈するの正解でしょうか？

if節と主節に分離すれば

if you had a close friend who you knew, all the clothes they wore, the books they read, the records they listened to and all of those things meant something to you.

何の問題はない。

It is what it felt like that if you had a close friend who you knew, all the clothes they wore ....

となる文章の構造です。

2) The Mardi Gras season runs until Fat Tuesday, which this year falls on February 16.
(in) this year前置詞句(副詞句）ですので文頭に持ってきても文末に持ってきても構わない。

The Mardi Gras season runs until Fat Tuesday, which falls on February 16 this year.

と考えれば　Fat Tuesdayが主格となる関係代名詞になる。
なぜなら、
This year falls on February 16.は意味を成さない。
