　ここでの"lost"は状態動詞であるから〜とかでしょうか？でも"lose one's way"の"lose"は動作動詞な気がするからこの可能性は低い……？

　それとも"be lost one's way"というのが不適である("lost one's way"が普通？)からでしょうか？

　それとも、そもそも｢今もまだ迷っているかもしれない｣と断定するべきではない(どこかでは迷ったが、今は迷っていない可能性がある)から現在完了進行形にしてはいけないのでしょうか？

loose は状態動詞ではありません。

目的語を取る他動詞です。
④ may have been lost
➡失わされたかもしれない(受け身）
