文の構造

ある英語の本に以下の会話がありました。

A The global food shortage is really begging to worry
me. I heard that population densities are increasing
so swiftly, even in advanced nations, that it will be
impossible to feed the entire population of the world
by about the middle of this century.

B I think that's a slight exaggeration. The prognoses
I have read give us to the end of the century.

訳は
A 「世界的な食糧難が本当に心配になってきました。
人口密度が先進国においてさえ急速に増えている
ので、今世紀の半ばごろまでには、世界の全人口
を養えなくなるそうですね。」

B「それは少し大げさだと思いますよ。　わたしが
読んだ予想によれば、今世紀の終わりまではもつ
ようです。」

Bの英文について質問があります。
give us to the end of this centuryのあたりが
いまいち構造が分かりません。
主語はThe prognoses で動詞がgiveで、、

The prognoses (that) I have read give us (time) to the end of the

century (to feed the entire population of the world).

主語はIとThe prognosesです。

私は読んだ。その予想に寄れば今世紀の終わりまでは持つようです。

と分解すれば分かるかな。

The prognoses( I have read) give us〔to feed the entire population of the world 〕to the end of the century.

会話なので、相手の言った〔〕の言葉が省略されています。■

何がgiveされるのかが書いていないですよね。

prognoses give us the grace untill the end of the century.
みたいなことが略されているのではないでしょうか？
