「すれ違い」を英語で

「すれ違いで友達と会えなかった」という時に使う
「すれ違い」という日本語は、英語でなんて言うんでしょうか？

一度その表現の和訳をどこかで見たよな気がするんですが、あまり思えていません。

たしかoverlapを使っていたと思います。
overlap=iftwo events overlap or overlap each other, the second one starts before the first one has finished.

それ、ひょっとして「すれ違い」じゃなく

「行き違い」というのではありませんか??
