「甥っ子達の写真を見ていた。彼らの成長が早くて悲しくもあり、しかしそれ以上にこれからの彼らがどんな素晴らしい人になっていくかとても楽しみである。本当に彼らの叔母になれたことを嬉しく思います。」

英語としては、複雑な感情を表すのは、私には難しいです。

　見ていた　→　見ると……
全体に現在形に直しました。

When I see the photos of my nephews, I rise up contradictory feelings.
One is that I feel lonely for them away from me as they grow older.
On the other hand, I look forward to them becoming how excellent persons. I am happy as their aunt.

Seeing a picture of my nephews.That's just a 2 sides of a coin.On

e says it's a bit sad that they grow so fast.But the other side says you must be so very proud as their aunt that you can feel they are becoming gentle.
