次の文でのfor myselfの意味

I know for myself sometimes I run into students who think too much, and, uh when they think too much they have a tendency to slow themselves down because they’re questioning…

上記の文でfor myselfの意味が分かりません。

通常、for myselfは、「私自身で」、や、「私自身のために」の訳だと思うのですが、上記の文章では、直訳すると意味をなしません。

この場合の意味をお教えください。

know for myself は「自分でちゃんと分かる」がいいと思います。
