数学公式の英語表現

円の面積を求める公式「パイrの二乗(半径の２乗×円周率)」
三角形の面積を求める公式「底辺×高さ÷２」を
英語ではどの様に表現するのでしょうか？
ご存じの方がおられましたら、ご教授ください。

base times height divided by 2
でいいのではないでしょうか？

数学の式ですので、英語とは？

どう発音するか、との意味ですね？
No.1さんのご回答は完璧。

The area of a circle is calculated by multiplying the square of the radius by pi.
The area of a triangle can be calculated by mutiplying the base length against the perpendicular height divided by two.

又は、

A equals pi times r squared, where A is the area of the circle and r is its radius.
B equals base length times the height divided by two, where B is the area of the triangle and the height is the perpendicular distance from the base to the top of the triangle.

因みに、
３乗はcubed、４乗はto the fourth (power) です。
又、πはアップルパイのパイの発音です。
公式は勿論formulaで、複数形はformulaeです。

これで完璧。
