外国人の多い宿舎で働いております。定期ガス点検があるのですが、この放送内容は文法的に正しいでしょうか。よろしくお願い致します。

We’d like to inform you that regular safety inspection for gas equipments will be commencing shortly. It’s scheduled around one hour, however, it may take longer.

Please make sure that the water heater for both kitchen and shower are turned off.
You’ll be notified when the work is completed by an announcement.

Please be reminded that laundry rooms are closed during this period.

Thank you for your cooperation and understanding.

少し変なところがありますが、十分に通じると思います。

ただし、発音が悪ければ通じません。なお、大多数の日本人の発音では、これだけ長い文を放送で伝えても通じないのが普通だと思います。スピーカーに向かう人は、日本人としては格別に発音の良い人である必要があります。そうでないと、アナウンスする意味がありません。

少し添削してみます。冠詞などが抜けているところには、冠詞を新たにつけました。

(1) We’d like to inform you that regular safety inspection for gas equipments will be commencing shortly.

---> equipment は、特殊な意味でない限り、普通は equipmentS にはならず、equipment のままで -s はつきません。regular の前には、ここでは a をつけた方がよいと思います。その他にも少し変えたいので、次のように書き換えます。

---> Our fellow tenants, we are beginning a regular safety inspection on your gas equipment very soon.

(2) It’s scheduled around one hour, however, it may take longer.

--> The inspection will continue for about an hour, but it may take a little longer.

(3) Please make sure that the water heater for both kitchen and shower are turned off.

--> Please make sure that your water heaters for both the kitchen and shower are turned off.

(4) You’ll be notified when the work is completed by an announcement.

--> When the work is over, we will notify you.

(5) Please be reminded that laundry rooms are closed during this period.

---> Please note that your laundry rooms will be closed during the inspection.

(6) Thank you for your cooperation and understanding.

大変迷いましたが、ベストアンサーに選ばせていただきました。身バレが怖いので詳細は避けますが長い事英語のアナウンスをする職場におりました。そこではある程度のマニュアルがあったのですが、今の職場は自分で作成しなければならないのがちょっと大変です。大変助かりました。ありがとうございます。

完璧ですが、もっとシンプルにしてはどうでしょう。

例えば、日本語でも、これだけの情報量があると頭に入りづらいだろうと思います。

事前に書面で通知はなさるのだと思いますが、そのうえで、当日は以下のように呼びかけてはどうでしょう。

Attention residents.

Regular safety inspection for gas equipment will begin shortly.

Please turn off water heaters for both kitchen and shower, and keep them turned off while the inspection.

The inspection will take about one hour.

You will be notified when the work is completed.

Please be reminded that laundry rooms are closed during he inspection.
