文頭はだめ、と言いすぎるのはよくないんですが、
逆に日本人は文頭で無頓着に使いすぎるように思います。

それは、 but ＝しかし
and ＝そして
みたいに日本語式に考えるから、
...。 で切れて、
「しかし、」
「そして、」
で文頭で当然と思っているせいでしょう。

でも、英語としては
, but ...
が基本であることを知らない人が多いように思います。

表記では確かに違いが出ますが、実際の会話では区別がつかない。つかない以上、使える、使えないを問答するのは意味なしと思います。

因みに、younger でなくて longer ですか？
