なぜ現在形？

The building is under construction until next week ...
こういう文を目にしましたが、will be もしくはhave beenの方が個人的にはしっくり来ました。
現在形を使っている文ですが、どういった感覚なのでしょうか？ご教示お願いします。

"is under construction until"と"will be under construction until"は次の例のように同じ意味で用いられる場合が多いが、厳密に言うと"will be under construction"では不確定度がやや高いことになる:

Tournament Players Parkway in Blaine is under construction until mid-June.
Tournament Players Parkway will be under construction until the middle of June.

"is under construction until"　　約 34,400 件
"will be under construction until"　　約 18,200 件
"will be under construction until"と"is under construction until"が共起　　約 6,800 件

"has been under construction until"は「つい最近までやっていた」という意味になる:
The public plaza out front has been under construction until very recently.
The public plaza out front has been under construction until very recently.

「来週まで続く」は(ほぼ)確定している未来の予定なので現在形または現在進行形が使える。
"is under construction"は意味的には「現在進行形」と同じと考えることもできる。

will beだと、「今」建設中なのに未来のことになってしまいます。

have beenでは、今も含まれますが、「過去のある時点から今に至って」というスパンで見ています。
ですから言いたい内容が、「このビルは去年から（ずっと）建設中です」ならば、This building has been under construction since last year. というように使えます。

でも、このビルが「今現在」建設中で、来週までその状態である時には、焦点が「今」ですから現在形を使います。

"to be"の省略:

is (to be) under construction until next week : 来週までの予定である

～までの予定で、目下、建設中。

will be の予定。
have been までは続くよ。

強調する事が微妙に違うのだと思います。

「建設中の状態にある」ということで、現在形を用います。

will を使う場合は、The building will build next week.（そのビルは来週建つ。）
この場合は、未来形になります。
