① My best endeavour would not enable me to be equal to the task.

②The three years at the co-educational school had still left the girl in constant fear of boys.

---> Even if I made my best endeavor, I wouldn't be able to be equal to the task.

---> (Even if は使えないと思います。)
Despite her three years at the co-educational school for three years, she was still left in constant fear of boys.

③With most men the knowledge that they must ultimately die does not weaken the pleasure in being at present alive.

---> (Even if は使えないと思います。"being at present alive" も、間違いだと思います。）

Most men may come to learn that they must ultimately die, but they still won't lose their pleasure in being alive at the present.
