man に the をつけて the man としたらどういう意味になるかについての辞書の解説：

the man (US, informal)

「あなたは、男の中の男です。」と言いたければ、上のように
You're the man!
というふうに man に the をつければいいのです。そうすればそういう意味になるということは、たとえば

にも書いてあります。

あるいは他の方の仰る通り、You're such a gentleman! もいいですね。

この場合はgentlemen です。

man's man だとゲイを連想させます。
