英語に訳していただけませんか?

英語でディベートをすることになったのですが、なにぶん英語が苦手なもので…、皆様のお力をお借りできませんでしょうか?

議題は「犬の方が猫よりペットとして適しているかどうか」です。

否定側です。


犬と猫、貴方はどちらが好きですか?
私は猫の方がペットに適していると思います。
犬は毎日散歩をさせなくてはいけません、それはとても面倒臭いです。ですが、猫はしなくてもよいのです。
犬は躾が大変ですが、猫はそうでもありません。
彼らはとても静かで犬のように鳴いたりはしません。
一人一人違いますが、甘え上手です。
寝るときも一緒。
彼らはまるで自分の子供のようです。
彼らはとても愛らしく、私達を癒してくれます。
黒猫は日本では不吉と言われていますが、イギリスでは幸運な存在として扱われています。
彼らがペットに向いてないわけがありません。
だから私は「犬の方が猫よりもペットとして適している」という考えに反対します。

Which do you like better, cats or dogs?

I think cats make better pets than dogs.
If you keep a dog, you need to take it for walks and you may find this too troublesome whereas with cats you don't need to do this.
It is hard to train dogs but there is no need to train cats.
Cats are very quiet and they don't bark like dogs.
Cats are very affectionate, although it depends on the individual cat. They often like to sleep with you.
They are very cute and lovable, as if they are your small children and they often comfort you.
It is said that black cats are a sign of bad luck in Japan but in England black cats are considered to bring good fortune.
There is no reason to believe that cats are not suitable as pets. (All the points I mentioned so far prove that cats are the best pets for us.)
Therefore, I disagree with the opinion that dogs are better pets than cats.

一例として考えて頂けたら幸いです。

ディベートということで話言葉を意識します。

Which do you like dos or cats as pets?
In my Opinion cats are better than dogs as pets.
I have some reasons about that.

First if you have a dog, you have to walk outside with dog everyday. This is too much trouble. But actually if you have a cat, you don't have to do that.
Second, it is difficult to take care of dogs because we need pay attention about dogs, but to the contrary if you have a cat, you don't have to look after it.
Third, cats are more quiet than dogs, because basically dogs are often barking.
Fourth, Even though It's up to their characteristics, cats tend to fawn on their masters.
FIfth, almost cats sleep with their masters.
Sixth, cats are lovely enough to make us relax. It's like our own baby.
Seventh, In Japan black cats make us unhappy, but to the contrary in England they are regarded as lucky creatures.
They are not always good for pets.
I have these reason about the cats. So I disagree with the idea that dogs are the better than cats as pets.

日本語をそのまま英語に直してみましたが、少し単調な気がします。（序数は使わなくてもいいかもです）
気を悪くなされたら謝りますが、思いついた理由を並べただけな気がします。
ディベートの雰囲気など分かりませんが、前もって考える時間、発言制限時間などがあるのでしたら、もっと簡略にまとめた方が良いと思います。
英語のディベートのポイントとしては、
＊相手側の意見を壊さない。（日本人の傾向）
＊否定をできるだけ使わない（肯定側であれ、否定側であれ、あくまでも自分の側の利点を述べる）
＊体系的に種類分けをする（３～４つに分け、最初に「理由は○個あります」と言った方が相手が聞いてくれる。一つの理由につき２～３個の例示を出す）
