ただし日本人に見せると間違いだと言われる可能性がありますので"equally"を使う方が無難でしょう。

質問の文は意味を成しません。

asをそこに入れると意味が取れなくなります。　

I think both of them are important.
で良いと思います。
bothではなく、both of themを使っているので、どっちも同じぐらいというニュアンスが少し出ていると思います。

同レベルをどうしても強調したいなら、on the same levelを付ければ良いかと思います。
I think both are on the same level of importance.
または、I think both of them are important. They are on the same level.

また、as〜asを使うのも良いですね。
I think A is just as important as B.

英語は日本語と言語構造が違うので、直訳は「？？」となることがあります。
伝えたいことを伝えるために、言い換える練習をしてみることをオススメします!
