英語の和訳について質問です。

What distinguish us most is one thing no other animals do : art. いう文です。

我々人間を他の生物と最も区別してるのは、人間しかできないこと、そう"アート"だ！、というようなニュアンスです。

no other animals do が関係代名詞節制限用法として one thing にかかると思いますが、この場合、"区別" ではなく "説明" だと習いました。意味が矛盾するから、らしいです…。

なぜ、"区別" として訳すとダメなんでしょうか…？

different には、①区別する、という意味と、②際立たせる、という意味があります。

distingish most を日本語らしい訳にしようと思えば、やはり、「もっとも際立たせている」と訳すのが、「適訳」ということになるのでしょう。

(下記１）私たちを最も際立たせているものの一つは(下記２）です。

他のいかなる動物もできない、

それぞれの単語の意味をきちんと取れていないから、
上記のような疑問が出てくるのだと思います。

まずは
このふたつのフレーズはどう訳しますか。
それぞれのフレーズ部分のみを、補足の言葉を一切入れずに、
