「連なる」を、「連続的な」連なりと「断続的な」連なりの両方の意味で表すのに、continueは使えるでしょうか。

もう一つ、この下に示すのはアメリカの特許庁の文献からの用例ですから、厳密にそれぞれの単語の意味を正確に厳密に使っているはずですので、ある程度は信頼できるのではないかと思います。
