教えてgooの人工知能「オシエル」が質問パターンを学習しているのと同じですね。
本文の人工知能はガンの発見とか、銀行の従業員の分析とか、地球温暖化の解決とか、スケールが大きいですけど。。。

最初の数文を訳しました。最後まで読み通せば面白い内容ですから、自分で頑張って訳してみて下さい。その方が本当にあなたのためになりますから。

近年最も興味の尽きない技術開発の1つとして、コンピューターが独自で判断し、考え方が出来るようになってきたことが挙げられます。
コンピューターの開発・使用の初期段階では、コンピューターはまさに命令されたことだけをし、プログラムに従うだけの機械でしかありませんでした。
現在、コンピューターは思考能力においては人間を上回ることさえ出来ます。
何か怖い気もしますが、AI（人工知能）は私たちの生活（生命）に大いなる革命をもたらす潜在能力があると私は思っています。

面白いねこの記事。

AIの自己学習するディープラーニングについて書かれてる。そのディープラーニングのやり方というか、どーやってコンピューターが自分で学んでるのか説明してますよ
長いから訳さないけどそういうこと話してんだなと思って見れば少し理解できるかもですね
