"relationship between"

"relationship between a, b and c"という言い方はできますか？
それとも、between の後は、a and b だけで、c を入れたい場合はbetweenではなくamongにする必要がありますか？
教えてください。よろしくお願いします。

つまり、二者間というよりも、単に、境界がはっきりしているかどうか、一つ一つを個として意識しているかで、between かamong かを使い分けると書いています。

１．Betweenは３つ以上のものについても用いることができます。

２．その場合は、3者以上の中で、その中における2者ずつ相互間の関係を暗示します。

３．例：
a treaty between Japan, Korea and the US
「日韓米３国間の条約」

ここでは、日韓、日米、韓米という2国間の相互関係を踏まえて「3国間」という意味で使っています。

４．従って、ご質問文の「abcという3人の関係」においても、「aとb」「aとc」「bとc」という2者間の相互関係に焦点をあてながらの3者間、という意味で使われます。

５．ちなみにamongは通常３人以上について用いられますが、betweenのような2者間の相互関係への暗示はありません。

betweenも結構誤解されることの多い語です。

Ｎｏ．２で、seegrammarさんが回答されているとおり、対象が一つ一つ固有の存在として意識される時はbetweenを使います。２個以上であれば５個でも１00個でもbetweenを使います。
amongは、対象が個として意識されていない時です。例えば、「サザエさんは子供たちの間で人気がある。」という時、「子供たち」の一人一人のことは意識していません。大雑把に、子供たちにそういう傾向があるということで言っているわけです。ですから、Sazae-san is popular among the children. と言った時、子供たちの中にはサザエさんが嫌いなものもいる可能性があります。
でも、このとき、Sazae-san is popular between the children. と言うかと言うと、普通これは言わないわけです。なぜかと言えば、「人気がある」という言葉自体が、大まかな状態を言っているからでしょう。

○　「between」は２つ（の間）だけではなく、３つ（の間）でも４つ（の間）でも明確に区別できる場合には使うことができます。

　(1) Our house is between the woods, the river and the village.
　(2) Switzerland lies between France, Italy, Austria and Germany.

ケースバイケースです。

a b c が独立性の強いアイテムならよいでしょう。
relationship between A, B, and C で検索すると
http://www.google.co.jp/search?hl=ja&rls=GGLJ%2C …
のように among よりはるかに多くなるので、どのようなアイテムが比較されているか見てみるとよいでしょう。
ケンブリッジの辞書には between は３つ以上の人、物に使えるとはっきり書いてます。
