We have an image that aurora can only be seen in the winter, but we can actually see it all year.

オーロラは英語で一般的に"Northern Lights"と言われるーとあるので、その方が分かりやすいかなと思います。

Everyone, youは一般主語「誰もが、みんな」です。

Everyone has the image that Northern Lights can be seen only in winter, however, in fact, you can see them throughout the year.
