『とても』の意味のmore/mostは、形容詞、副詞同士を比較するときに使うんですか？

何々と比べてより～だ、というときに more

何々の中で最も～だ、というときに (the) most
を使います。

何かと何か(比較対象物)で比較する時に使われるのが比較級です。

規則変化では、形容詞と副詞の語尾に-er, -estを付けるもの
ー fast-faster-fastest, young-younger-youngest　と
more, mostをつけるもの
ー beautiful-more beautiful-most beautiful
famous-more famous-most famous　に分けられます。

それぞれ対象となる事物で比較します。
例えば、形容詞のbeautifulであれば、
Her kimono is more beautiful than mine.
Her kimono is the most beautiful of the three.
形容詞では着物自体のどれが「より美しい/最も美しい」かの比較。

そして、副詞のbeautifullyを使うと、
Her kimono looks more beautifully than mine.
Her kimono looks (the) most beautifully of the three.
副詞ではどの着物が「より美しく/最も美しく」見えるかの比較。
副詞の最上級はtheを付けても付けなくてもよい。

そういうわけではなく形容詞や副詞で修飾されているものを比較するときに使います。しかし形容詞や副詞が比較級、最上級の変化ができるばあいはmore/mostは使いません。
