ご提示の文は重文ですので、それぞれの節は「主節」ではなく「独立節（等位節）」と呼びます。

「主節」、「従属節」というのは、複文について用いられる概念です。

(1) 確かに主節が二つあります。

(2) considered と included は、確かにここではよく似た意味として使っています。
(3) consider は「～を考慮する、考察する」ということですから、結果的には「～を対象とする（～を対象として考える）」ということになります。

こういう受け身の気持ち悪い文章を見たら、片っ端から頭の中で能動態に変えながら読めばわかりやすくなります。でも昔は、科学論文というものは客観的に書かねばならず、we, I, the author などの当事者（研究者）を前面に押し出すべきではないという考え方が主流だったので、こういう気持ちの悪い英文がまかり通っていました。現代ではこういう科学論文さえ、なるべく we, I, the author などを使ってすっきりと書こうという機運が高まっているようです。それについては、マーク・ピーターセンが日本語で書いた「日本人の英語」（岩波新書のシリーズ3冊）の中でも盛んに書いています。

human て単語には形容詞しかなかった記憶なのですが、主語として使うなら

humansにしないとそもそもの文法解釈が相当狂ったりしません？
