within～ どこまでが副詞で、どこからが主語なのかが分かりません。
hasが動詞だからcenturyが主語？でも冠詞がない…？

One species - man - has acquired significant power to alter the nature of his world only within the moment of time represented by the present century.

という文章に倒置用法が施されているものです。

《今世紀という時代の期間だけでもって、とある種族〔人類〕は、世界の自然を覆すほどの甚大な力を獲得してしまった》

→within ～ centuryまでが副詞（前置詞句）
→主語はone species あるいは同格のmanも含めればone species - man - です。

→違います。倒置となっています。has acquiredで完了形であり、その主語はone speies - man - です。

One species - man - has acquired significant power to alter the nature of his world.という文に、Only within the moment of time represented by the present century という句（前置詞句、副詞の働きをします）をつけたために、hasが前にきた形（倒置）です。
