Kisenosato’s first win was not that reassuring with his left arm heavily wrapped with athletic tape,the Yokozuna sought to grab the belt of Okinoumi after the jump off ‘but his effort was in vain as the maegashira kept his mawashi guarded.However,Kisenosato kept the pressure on Okinoumi,eventually forcing him out of the ring.
Fellow Yokozuna Hakuho posted his secound win in as many days beating komusubi Yoshikaze, who beat Kisenosato on Sunday.

稀勢の里の初勝利はテーピングでしっかりと固めた左腕を使わないものでした。

横綱は立ち合い後隠岐の海の回しをつかもうとしましたが、前頭がそれをふさいでいたのでできませんでした。
しかし稀勢の里は隠岐の海をおっつけ、最終的に隠岐の海を寄り切りました。
続く横綱白鳳は、日曜日に稀勢の里を破った小結嘉風に勝ち2勝目を挙げました。
