また、;for, althoughのforってなんですか？

That it is ... seems certain
seems の主語が that 節です。
That ... personality までが主語。

「～ということ」は確かなようだ。

この主語の部分で、it is X which という強調構文。
普通は that なんですが、あえて最初の That と分けたか、
堅苦しく、ものだから which としたか。

性格における相違の究極的に原因となるのは
遺伝子の差異であるということは、
確かなようだ。

そして、for ～は「というのも～だから」

普通、for の後に SV と続く、接続詞 for です。

ここは、その SV が
although SV, SV というかたまりです。

というのも、「～だけれども～」だからだ。

なるほどね、for ～が等位接続詞と説明されるのは
こういうところからなんでしょうね。

従属接続詞 although ～とともに用いられる。

わかりにくければ、although SV の方を後に移せばいいです。
