① 花見に行くのを楽しみにしていたのに、雨で台なしになった。
I had been looking forward to going to hanami,but the rain spoiled it.

②その家は夜とても静かで、なかなか寝付けなかった。
the house was so quiet at night that I couldn't fall in sleep soon.

③ 私たちは健康に有害な食品をそれと知らずに口にしていることが多い。
We often eat harmful food without knowing it.

④ 忙しくて本が読めないとこぼす人が多いが、その気になれば時間はつくれるものだ。
Many people say too busy to read books,but you can make time if you try to do it.

これって、英文和訳じゃなくて和文英訳の添削ですよね？

①　過去完了形にする必要がないような気がします。I was looking forward to going to Hanami but the rain spoiled it.
②　普通うるさくて寝付けなかったというのが多いと思いますので、静かすぎて寝付くのが大変だったと受け取っていいですか。The house was dead quiet at night and I had difficulty falling asleep.
③　Perfect!
④　Many people say they are too busy to read books　と文章にすべきだと思います。あと最後の to do it はなくても良いのでは？

dead quietの使い方と意味

dead quiet
《be ～》しーんとしている

Deadの副詞としての使い方の例です。

完璧に、完全に
・Jack is dead serious about buying a castle in a rural region of France. : ジャックはフランスの田舎に城を買うことに完全に本気になっている。
絶対に
・I'm dead against higher taxes. : 税金を上げることには絶対反対です。
極めて、超～

① 日本の文化に詳しくない外国人さんだったらHanamiの代わりにlooking forward to enjoying the cherry blossomsのほうがわかりやすいと思います。

② the house was so quiet at night that I couldn’t fall asleep easily.
Fall asleepは寝付くという意味のセットフレーズです。

③ harmfulというよりunhealthyのほうがわかりやすいと思います。もしくはWe often eat food that are harmful to our health without knowing it.

④ Many people complain they are too busy to read books but if you really put your mind to it, you can make time for it.

こぼす complain, その気になれば if you put your mind to it.

2. fall asleepが普通だと思います。

3. foodsが良いんじゃないかと思います。私も英語の単・複数が紛らわしいと感じるので、正直foodと言っても良いのか、自身は無いですが。
4. "too ... books" のように引用するか、...say they are too...のように言ったほうが正しいと思います。後、do itは無くても良いんじゃないかと思います。
