whichの使い方

いつもお世話になります。
以下例文のA、B文法的にどちらが正しいでしょうか？

それは、色が黒の財布です。
A) It is a wallet the color of which is black.
B) It is a wallet of which the color is black.

両方とも正しいと思います。

ただ、なぜ正しいと言えるかは、僕にはせつめいできません。なお、この二つの英文が「自然」かどうかというと、自然ではないと思います。こんな単純なことをいちいちこういうふうに複雑には言わず、次のように言うでしょう。

(1) It is (It's) a black wallet.
(2) It is a black-colored wallet.

(1) の方が簡潔でよいとされるでしょう。

文法的にはこれもOKのようですが、普段目にすることはほとんどありませんね。

は、the top と of which を切り離し、the top を is の前に移動させて、

という文も可能です。
6. b. This book has a lot of words the meanings of which I don't know.
も同様に the meanings と of which を切り離します。
the meanings は本来 know の目的語なので、本来の位置に戻して、
6. c. This book has a lot of words of which I don't know the meanings.
という文も可能です。

Its top was covered with snow.の方を関係代名詞で書くとI saw the mountain of which　the top was covered with snow.という形になりますが、ほとんど使われないので、無い形式だと思っていた方がいいです。

先行詞が人でない場合は whose ～ と the ～ of which の両方が使えることは以前に学習しましたね。

4. = Mt.Fuji, which we could see the top of from there, was very beautiful. (口語的)
