そもそも英文が不自然ですよね。

「Motors, know the police」のあたりが間違っていると思います（本来は「, he had known the ...」などかと）。また、「although all he had to do was take away」ではなく「although all he had to do was to take away」のはずです。そのうえでDeepLにかけてみたら意味が通る文章になりました。
