stomach flipの意味を教えてください

タイトルどおりです。
僕の持っている辞書には載ってなかったので、インターネットをブラウズしてたら、the weird feeling you get at the start of some relationshipsとありました。
weird feeling だけではどんな感じなのかよくわかりません（経験がないだけかもしれませんが…笑）。
どなたかわかりやすく説明していただけたら幸いです。どうぞよろしくお願いいたします。

少し長いのですが、抜粋してみます。「stomach flip」が使われている箇所が２カ所あります。

　２カ所ある「stomach flip」はどちらも「男性（または夫）に対するどきどきした気持ち」と解釈できそうです。「胃がひっくり返る」では何のことか分かりませんね。

文字通り「胃が引っくり返るような気持ち」でいいと思います。

おっしゃるように、この気持ちがわからないのは「経験がないだけ」なのかもしれません（笑）。

　「do flip-flop」で「１８０度回転する」という意味があります。

そこから「stomach flip-flops」と言えば「気持ちが揺れ動くこと」を表すことになります。略して「stomach flip」ということもあります。

　具体的には、「知り合ったばかりの男女の揺れ動く気持ち」、つまり「どきどきする気持ち」を表します。「相手が自分のことを本当に好きなのかどうかが分からないからこそ恋愛の始まりは面白い。」ということなのでしょう。

☆flipはよく「ひっくり返る」という意味で使われます：

・When my mother heard the news, she flipped.（寝耳に水でひっくり返るほど驚いた）

☆またネイティブのブログに：
・Does it make your stomach flip when you see a pro-abortion candidate?
、、、とありました。ここでは「妊娠中絶賛成派の候補を見ると、気分が悪くなることありませんか？」という意味のようで、つまり「stomach flip ＝ upset」ということですね。

☆ゆえに状況によって、「お腹がひっくり返る ⇒ 胃が痛くなるほど悩む、緊張する、怒りに駆られる」というようなニュアンスだと考えます。いずれにせよ、「精神的に負担が大きい状態」を表現するのは間違いないでしょうね。

Stomach flip は普通 butterflies (in the stomach) とも言われますが、よく舞台や人前に立ってのスピーチ、芝居をしなければならない時の緊張、不安を表すためによく使われます。

Weird というのは普通「変な」と訳されますが、ご質問での文中にある場合は、やはりこの交際関係に持つ不安感、猜疑感、緊張感等の事です。これも gut feeling ですよね。この場合の weird 意訳をすれば「嫌～な予感」みたいなものです。

どきどきする、とか、緊張する、といった類の気持ち、のような語感ですね。

butterfly in my stomach　と同じようなものでは?と思いました。
