日本語訳でどう訳せばいいかわかりません。誰か教えてください。お願いします。

血圧を下げる方法が幸運にもあります。その後がどうも訳せません。だれか教えてください。

(2)So while the bad news is that heart disease is the number one killer, the good news is that the death rate from heart disease has been declining since the 1950s as people adopt healthier lifestyles and the medical world develops improved drugs and surgical techniques.
文が長すぎて、どういう文なのかがまったく分かりません。だれか教えてください。お願いします。

人々がより健康的な生活を取り入れ、また、薬や手術技術の進歩したためである。

（！）幸運なことに、血圧を上げる行為と同じくらい様々な、血圧を下げる方法があります。

意味的にはこんな感じだと思います。

　ways が2箇所出ています。there are ways ... , there are ways ... という形なんですが、後ろの方の there are は繰り返しになるので省略されています。
　just as ...　まさに・・・のように
　as varied as ...　～がいろいろあるように
　drive blood pressure up　血圧を上げる

　幸いにも、血圧を下げる方法はあります。血圧を上げる行動がいろいろとあるように。
　→　いろいろな原因から血圧の上昇ということが生じるように、血圧を下げる方法というのも、幸いなことに、いろいろとあるのです。

　構造が把握できれば、それほどむつかしくありません。
