下記の英訳は如何でしょうか・・・

There are radioactive materials which have various half-lives. For example, Radon 222 decays with a half-live

of only 3.8 days but Iodine 129 does with (as long as) 15.7 million years.


With the certain kind of radioactive materials, we will be continuously exposed to the hazards over our lifetime.

No.1です。

気に入らなかったので、ちょっと自己改良してみました。

Radioactive substances vary from short half-life isotopes such as Radon 222 whose half-life is several days to long half-life materials such as Iodine 129 whose half-life is several ten thousand years.
Some of radioactive materials will continue to be threats to us for life.

2文目は前と同じです。
