コービー：参ったよ。本当に疲れてたんだ。控え室で、疲れていただけなんだ。頭にきて、悲しくて、考えていたのは、山だよ。わかるかな。大きな山を乗り越えるんだ。これは、経過だろ？（引退ということではない、もう一度プレイするまでの経過）できるかどうかわからなかったんだ。そうしたら、子供たちが部屋に入ってくるだろ、手本を示さなきゃダメじゃないか。お父さんは大丈夫だ。もう一度バスケットボールをするぞ。そのために努力する。そこからはじめるだけだ。
