why do you think about english grammar so much?, i think english and japanese they are one kind of communication tool for them conversation in normal life in real society. then i think you don't need so much worry or take care about english grammar. for example everyday can you doing collect japaniese grammer in japanase society. one more i talk to you that every languages are communication tools that only i don't think and i don't know about more reason for humans communication in all languages.

whose A ですよね？

the dog's name が所有格「その犬の名前」

the name of the dog
of を使うと、of ～で「～の」なわけだから、
A は of の前に来ます。
これも「その犬の名前」

A of B で「B の A」となるので、
～'s とは順序が逆になります。
