大学入学後すぐ、自分が本当にやりたいことが見つからないと言って大学を去る学生がいるという話をちらほら耳にする。という日本語を英語にしてほしいです。

If we matriculate in a university at once we now and then hear rumor that we leave students in university because I don't find to want to do real.
っていう英文を作ってみたんですけどおかしいですよね？

「大学入学後すぐ」を入れたいのですね。

それなら、matriculateと言う難しい単語は使わずに、enterで分かります。
「すぐに」なので、as soon as entering the university, もしくはSoon after entering~でも、「入学後ほどなく」となります。
大学を去る　→leaveでもいいですが、「やめる」としてquitにしてます。
hear rumor　→「～という話をちらほら耳にする」は「うわさ」と言うより、「～と言うことを耳にする」ので、hear that~でいいかと思います。
不特定多数の学生として複数扱いしています。
