これは前にアメリカ人が答えてくれて、I think you're right that the order changes (略) because the phrase about "our knowledge" is so long. It would sound unnatural and confusing to write all of that and then put "have appeared" at the very end. と言っていました。

この appeared の後の that以降文末までは studies を先行詞とする関係節です。

No.6 にあげた The notion ~ の例は関係節ではなくて修飾語ですね。

現行文法では同格ということにしてしまっているものですけど、内容を言う節です。

内容を言う節は、名詞を修飾しているので形容詞節という説もありますけど、動詞の動作の受け手として目的語になるのでなければ、副詞節ですね。

助詞のある日本語なら分かりやすく、「～を」なら目的語ですけど、「～と」や「～という」になれば副詞だと感じる人は少なくないと思います。

that ends well という関係節を後に回した形で文法違いというわけではないです。

英語は頭でっかちな文を好みません。そのため、長いものはよく後回しにします。

ここでは長くはないですけど、それでも、
All that ends well is well とすると、well がぽつりと一語、文末になってしまってバランスが悪いのをシェイクスピアは気にしたんですね。

The notion persists that ~ というのが慣用句的に関係節を後回しにする例です：
The notion persists that genes are tantamount to destiny and that one might explain everything from cancer to homosexuality by locating the responsible genes.

I wonder how reliable the information was.
という場合も、文末にポツンとある was を先にして、
I wonder how reliable was the information I had been given.
とするほうが formal だと、Practical English Usage (§302.1) にあります。

良く終わるすべてのもの（S）は　良い。
All は先行詞　 that は関係代名詞、ends well =S ここまでが主語　is =V 動詞　well =C.補語

「終わりよければすべて良し」と言う意味の決まり文句ですね。

文法的には間違っています。シエークスピアが作った言葉で、All‘s well that ends well. と -s . . .-s と韻を踏んでいてゴロがいいので皆が使って定着しました。文法的に正しくは All that ends well is well.

ちょっと意味が違うと思います。
私の感覚では、「終わり良ければ総て良し」に近いと思っています。

それなら理解できるますね。All that ends well is well.
All that ends well が、「うまく終わるものすべて」で関係代名詞を伴った主語となり、is well が、「いいものである」が動詞と形容詞です。
