提示文の３文型から４文型への変換について

チョコレートをもらった人は、一か月後のホワイトデーにお返しをしなければなりません。

If the boy got a chocolate, he has to give something back to the girl on White day which comes a month after Valentine’s day.

上記の"give something back to the girl"の部分は、単純に４文型の次の文に書き換えてよいのでしょうか。

give the girls something back

本当に簡単な質問で申し訳ないのですが、"back"が有ることや"something"を最後尾に持ってこれるか、ぼやっとしているため、ご教示願います。

＞動詞+直接目的語+副詞+to/for+間接目的語
＞動詞+間接目的語+副詞+直接目的語

send back なんかはできますが、そもそも二重目的語をとり、なおかつ副詞もとる動詞ってのがあまりなくってねえ。

挙げた例文はほとんどが英米の辞書からの引用なので、使えるはずです。

頻度で言えば、次の二つが多いですね。

give 代名詞 back 物
Give her back the book.

give 物 back to 人／代名詞
Give the camera back to me

backは副詞なので、間接目的語と直接目的語の間や文末どこに持ってきても良いという理解でよいでしょうか。
一般的にはどちらが多用され、使い分けはありますか
