Incubate と hatch (どちらも孵化?) の違いが分からないので下記文が理解できません。分かる方説明お願いします。コウノトリの孵化に関する文です。

Eggs are laying every two days. Incubating begins around from the 3rd egg, to minimalize the big differeces. Sometimes are too cold weather. (clima-change) Parent storks MUST incubate from the 1st or 2nd egg. Or some egg hatched late. Little storks growing fast, 25-50% per day. These casuse the big size differences, like this.

生物学的にいうと

Incubateとは、このケースでは、親鳥が卵が孵化するまで体の下で保温することを指します。つまり卵からヒナは出てきていません。

一方、hatchとは卵が孵化して割れてヒナが卵から出てくるまさにその状態を指します。
