英作文を見てください。

高校一年生です。課題で英作文を書くよう言われたので書いたのですが、いまいち自信が持てません。ちなみに課題図書は要約するとこんな話です（かなり省略しました）

１．二十世紀は、科学やコミュニケーションが大幅に進歩した時代だった。
２．そして戦争の時代でもあった。
３．戦争についての例が出てくる
４．戦争は恐ろしいものだ。戦争は止めよう。


そしてお題は
What did you learn from this lesson?(Write with 60-80 words)


僕の英作文です。

I learned two things from this lesson.
First,I noticed that the war is terrible again.The war robs us of something important
such as houses,baby's lives and our minds.
Second,we must keep peace and we can do it.Because people have made progress in science and communications,we must be able to keep peace.
In conclusion,there should never be war again,and we must keep peace.

語彙も少なく、お粗末な文ですが、よろしければ添削の方よろしくお願いします。

率直に言って、「we can keep peace」と「there should never be war again」を「so that」で結んでいるのには違和感があります。理解できません。
後者は前者の結果ですか？　ちょっと違います。
後者は前者の理由ですか？　ちょっと違います。
私には、両者は、完全に独立したステートメントであるように思えます。
よって、両者をつなぐのは「and」ではないかと思います。

「the war」と書くと特定の戦争を指します。
どの戦争のことを言っているのですか？と突っ込まれます。
戦争一般について言うなら、冠詞なしの「war」です。
あなたも、平和は、冠詞なしで「peace」と書いていますよね。
全文にわたって、the warをwarにしましょう。
もし、第2次世界大戦のことを言っているなら、それを明示しましょう。

ここで「again」というのも、ちょっとおかしいです。
既に前に書いてあるなら使えますが。
「改めて戦争が悲惨なものであると気付いた」と書きたいのですよね。
First, I once again noticed that war is terrible.
これならまだましですが、once againでも取って付けたようですし、
noticeの語感のなじみが悪いので、こんなの↓でいかがでしょう。
First, I deeply realized that war is terrible.

●The war robs us of something important such as houses,baby's lives and our minds.について。

robという動詞は、辞書によれば、人 be robed of 物の形で使うようですので、別の動詞に変えましょう。
奪い去られるものが列挙されるので、一般的なtake awayを使いましょう。
something important such asでも文法的には可能ですが、
ちょっとしたこまごまとしたものを列挙するならまだしも、
戦争の悲惨さを言うときには、ひと工夫しましょう。
War takes away our homes, lives, humanity, and everything.
こうした抽象的な名詞を列挙した後に、例として、
babies' livesという具体的なことを書いていくのもエッセイとしては効果的です。
課題図書の中に例として出ているなら、ぜひ触れましょう。
Among others, we should remember babies' lives lost in war.

●Second,we must keep peace and we can do it.Because people have made progress in science and communications,we must be able to keep peace.について。

英文というより、そもそも考えが整理されていないようです。
発達した科学やコミュニケーション手段を平和の維持に利用すべきだということを主張してはどうですか。
これに、「戦争に使わずに」を入れるともっと印象的になります。
Second, we must take advantage of the progress in science and communication for keeping peace, not for war.

●In conclusion,there should never be war again,and we must keep peace.について。

ここでも「again」が問題です。
世界のいたるところで戦争があり、
日本もそれに間接的？に関与している状況で、
この文は一般論としては成立しません。
日本の領土領海でというなら理解可能です。
でも、それって、自分さえ無事なら良いと言っていることになります。
もっと前向きに書きましょうよ。
それと、このように短い文章で、「In conclusion」はおかしいです。

In addition, I do hope that I can do something for keeping peace in this planet.
There should be no more war anywhere.

★以上、まとめますと…
I learned two things from this lesson.
First, I deeply realized that war is terrible.
War takes away our homes, lives, humanity, and everything.
Among others, we should remember babies' lives lost in war.
Second, we must take advantage of the progress in science and communication for keeping peace, not for war.
In addition, I do hope that I can do something for keeping peace in this planet.
There should be no more war anywhere.
これで75単語のようです。
赤ちゃんの命のことを削除しても65単語です。

丁寧な解答ありがとうございます。大変参考になりました。ただ、そのままうつすのでは意味がないと分かっていますので、自分の言葉も使って書きました。

In conclusion は個人的に最近覚えた単語なので、使用したいです。
There should never be war again は本文中に出てきた言葉を引用しました。

それで書き直したのがこちらです。もしよろしければ、致命的なミスがないかどうか見ていただけると幸いです。

I learnt two things from this lesson.

First, it taught me the horribleness of war. A war robs us of something very important or dear, such as our home and our family.
The lesson also taught me that we must live in peace, and that this we can achieve through the progress we made in science and communications technology.
In future therefore, we should be able to avoid war and live in peace.
